"that's nice."

it's not often that i complain about living in the south. afterall, we have southern hospitality, fried chicken, sweet tea, stone mountian, coke, peaches.....and the list goes on.

however, when it comes to weather and traffic....i want to scream. and die. and say a lot of words that i really shouldn't be thinking in the first place. last night it took me 25 minutes to drive a 5 minute stretch of road. even worse, it took my father 2-1/2 hours to get back from midtown. to put that into perspective...in the middle of the day where there is no traffic...it takes about 25 minutes to get there.

why so much traffic? it was sprinkling. barely raining. i'm not kidding. no sleet, no hail, not even thunder or heavy winds. no accidents, no crazy man running in the middle of the road...just a light shower and the forecast of ice for the NEXT DAY.

how do people go from light showers to panic and "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!"????
it's pathetic. totally, completely pathetic. so if you're an atlanta driver who was driving at 10 mph on an open stretch of road last night, SHAME ON YOU. get a grip on reality, people.

"float away from me, float away."

sorry, people...i must have some kind of disorder, seeing that i rant about traffic too much.

it's the TV guys - must have stock in grocery stores for selling more bread and milk. the ice storm is happening, and it's breaking in on the afternoon ballgames every half hour to make sure we have n't done something stupid like change the channel.

thoughts from another southerner :)

LOL, true, true.

WEATHER ALERT: "There's ICE on the roads." or "there will be ice on the roads tomorrow. freak out!"

reminds me of driving up to denver last month, where there was heavy fog in the morning. i thought it was so nice of the county to put up large signs warning us: "Foggy conditions. Visibility poor."

I was thinking about trying to find a college to transfer to in the South...

Maybe I will just skip that idea.
